Abhishek replaces Akshay in New Hera Pheri....

Firoz Nadiawala is planning to come out with the third sequel to his hit comedy Hera Pheri but not with its original cast.Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar will now replace the hilarious Baburao-Raju-Shyam trio, played by Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty respectively while the female face still has to be decided. The film goes on floors by the end of the year.

The 3rd installment will be called ‘New Hera Pheri’.

The Priyadarshan directed Hera Pheri had not opened well but it picked up and went on to become a huge hit. After that, Firoz made Phir Hera Pheri with the same cast but directed by Neeraj Vora. The third sequel will be helmed by Aneez bazmee.

The change of cast was imperative.Apparently,some differences cropped up between Akshay Kumar and Firoz Nadiadwala over the budget allotted for the third sequel.Firoz then thought of replacing Akshay with Abhishek but later decided to completely change the cast of his film and make a fresh team.

Hera Pheri was a hilarious comedy directed by Priyadarshan that starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the main roles.

Looks like Abhishek has succeeded in leaving an impression on the director as the actor is also playing a major role in Thank You.

Khatta meetha script at oscar library.....

The news is that the screenplay of ‘Khatta Meetha’ will be part of the core collection at The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture of Arts and Science.

Khatta meetha is a 2010 bollywood movie,starring akshay kumar n south actress-trisha krishnan.It is directed by priyadarshan.The film has been written by well known Malayalam script writer Sreenivasan.

Akshay Kumar (hero cum producer of Khatta Meetha) received a request from the Oscar Library to acquire a copy of the screenplay of the film.

Priyadarshann also has received an official e-mail from The Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences in LA, asking him for a copy of the screenplay of KM for the permanent Core Collection. They have said the “script will be used for research purposes only; students, filmmakers, writers and actors are among our regular patrons.

Priyan said, “It’s a great honour that the script of KM will be used for research by students of cinema. I feel that it is also a recognition of the hard work involved in writing the script.

Akshay Kumar plays the role of a struggling road contractor who struggles his way to bribe the officials for getting a road contract. To make matters worse, the new municipal commissioner turns out to be his ex girl friend who hates him like hell. What all does the contractor undergoes to become successful forms the rest of the story.

It was the storyline of Khatta Meetha highlighting the corruption and bribery inherent in the municipal constructions in India, told through Sachin Tichkule's (played by Akshay Kumar) life, that really grabbed the attention of the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and especially the political satire surrounding the common man caught up in the uncommon situation.

This is really a huge honor for Akshay and director Priyadarshan, who were contacted by the chief Librarian of one such prestigious Library, asking for the copy of the script.

Ending all speculations,on Tuesday night,it was announced that Salman is going to host the fourth season of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on colors channel and not Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar or Big B..Its official.

Sallu also confirmed his participation in the show on micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Doing bigg bossssssssssssssssssssssss! boss,” Salman tweeted at being salman khan.

Big Boss, the Indian version of the popular British reality show “Big Brother” will probably start in the month of October. It would be at the same time when Kaun Banega Crorepati will start on Sony Entertainment.

Salman is being paid a whopping amount of Rs 3.5 crores to Rs 5 crores per episode, which is more than double of the remuneration paid to Amitabh Bachchan (Big B was paid Rs 1.75 crores per episode). He will now get approximately Rs 60 to 70 crore for Bigg Boss 4, despite the season featuring only 13 to 14 episodes.

Bigg Boss has witnessed different hosts in all its season starting with Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan. Now it is turn of Salman Khan to host the Big Boss- season 4.

Bigg Boss season 3 was a great success with superstar Amitabh Bachchan playing the host, and the channel believes that Salman too can bring great success to the show with his presence.

Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan TRP war becomes interesting as only these two actors were reasonably successful on television from the bollywood and now they are testing each other popularity through their respective programmes.

Amitabh Bachchan, the doyen of film industry who agreed to host the fourth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on Sony, is all set to begin his latest innings as host from his birthday 11th October.

Amitabh has already started rehearsing with mock shows in his Juhu bungalow ‘Jalsa’ and plans to continue it till the actual sets are erected at Film City studios in Goregaon. The phone line for public is going to open from August2, Monday, and the channel is expecting a terrific response from the audience.

In keeping with Amitabh Bachchan’s wish to make the fourth season of KBC more contemporary and trendy in keeping with the times,the old ‘Rs’ has been replaced with the new Rupee symbol approved by the government into the logo of KBC.

KBC has been tweaked quite a lot. It’s going to be faster.The number of questions has been reduced to 12 from 15.And now there is a timer for the first 7 – 30 seconds to answer or the clock stops you.For phoning a friend for help. There will be three experts from various fields on call and you can talk to them as options for an answer. They will appear on TV live as opposed to a voice.

It is for the first time that Sony has got the opportunity to host the KBC with Amitabh Bachchan as host and garner maximum TRP benefit from it.Who can forget that Star plus channel had become number one riding on the Amitabh hosted ‘KBC’ earlier.

There are more than three months to go before the first winner emerges from the fourth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati.The channel has already roped in Cadburys India and Idea Cellular to play the presenting sponsor and telecom partner of the popular game show that is expected to fetch about Rs 100 crore.

Director Ram Gopal Varma is coming with a realistic film titled ‘Department’ – which has Lead Actors Abhishek bachchan and Sanjay. ‘Department’ has been inspired from real-life encounter cops Daya Nayak and Pradeep Sawant.

The movie is based on the on the lives of encounter cops and about their fight against underworld.

The film, which is on the lines of ‘Satya’ and ‘Company’ which have been dark and striking, will portray the forming of the encounter sqad and will follow the lives of the encounter cops and their friendship and rivalries.

Abhishek Bachchan’s role is based on DCP of Anti Terrorist Squad Pradeep Sawant,whereas Sanjay Dutt will be playing Sub-inspector Daya Nayak in the film.Another actor has to be finalized to play the character of D Sivanathan, the
current DGP of Mumbai.

Now it’s said that the producer, who is planning a film with Imran and Kareena Kapoor,titled Short Term Shaadi, on the lines of Ashton Kutcher-Cameron Diaz’s 2008 Hollywood hit What Happens in Vegas, wants Bebo again to be size zero.

Bebo’s look for the movie is going to be striking. It’s heard that she will also go in for a short hair-cut for the film to look as young as Imran.

Guzaarish-another passionate movie of hrithik ???

After filming sizzling scenes with Barbara Mori in Kites, Hrithik is now ready to make love to super hot model Monikangana Dutta, who plays his former love interest, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish. Although Aishwarya is paired opposite Hrithik,she has no lip lock scene with Hrithik in the film.

The movie is believed to be a remake of the 2006 Hollywood film ‘The Prestige’, which was directed by the ‘The Dark Knight’ director Christopher Nolan. It’s reported that Bhansali has adapted the script in Indian context, which is about two rival magicians.

In Guzaarish, Hrithik plays a paraplegic suffering from impairments of the motor and sensory functions of the lower limbs.Hrithik plays Ethan, a radio show host. Aishwarya plays a married nurse who is also Hrithik’s caregiver. The film also deals with the controversial subject of mercy killing. Ash’s character is interesting because she plays a married woman who gets attracted to Hrithik.

Hrithik will be singing a song for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish.To everyone’s surprise, Aishwarya will also show her singing talents through the film.

He plays a paraplegic in the movie and acquires to have this particular look.Hrithik has grown his hair really long and also has his beard grown.

shahrukh khan to host Big Boss 4 ???

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to host his favorite game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on Sony Entertainment Channel this year.He has abandoned Big boss.

So,now Shah Rukh Khan is being persuaded by Colors channel and, is being wooed with unheard of money in television industry, to agree to host the upcoming fourth season of ‘Bigg Boss'.

The first choice of Colors channel was Aamir Khan who has not came on television till now but Aamir Khan has rejected its first n even the second offer.They also approached to Sanjay Dutt but he also rejected offer because of less payment offered.

The insistence of the channel on bringing shahrukh also emanates from the fact that presence of Shah Rukh Khan opposite Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘KBC’ on Sony will automatically make it a big event.And the buzz that would be created by presenting the whole thing as the continuation of rivalry between two giants of bollywood would immensely benefit the channel as well as boost the TRP ratings of ‘Bigg Boss’.

But Sharukh seems reluctant to commit to Colors as he feels it’ll add fuel to the SRK vs. Big B rivalry drama in Bollywood.Even if he agrees, Colours will have to pay heavily as they have to remunerate him to break his contract with star Plus.

In spite of being busy filming ‘Ra 1’ & later ‘Don2’ a sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don’, Shahrukh may accept to host big boss 4 due to his close friendship with Colors’ channel programming head Ashvini Yardi.As far as dates for shooting the episodes of ‘Bigg Boss’ are concerned, they can always be adjusted to King Khan’s convenience or he just might decide to push Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2’ a little further down the line.

Abhishek bachchan is now Rs 7 crores worth an actor !!!

Abhishek Bachchan, the bollywood star who played the character of ‘Raavan’ in Mani Ratnam’s flick of the same name has been offered Rs 7 crores to act in a Raj Kumar Santoshi film.

The offer which has come from one of the biggest filmmakers of bollywood who directed hits like ‘Azab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani’(Ranbri-Katrina Kaif), ‘ Ghayal’(Sunny Deol) ‘Damiini’(Meenakshi Sheshadri-Rishi Kapoor), ‘Andaaz Apna Apna’(Aamir Khan-Salman Khan) etc, has foxed the industry folks.

Raj Kumar Santoshi wants to make this film with whole Bachchan clan—Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan—and this remuneration of seven crore was only for Abhishek Bachchan.

You can imagine the budget of the flick and also the clout that Bachchans hold over the minds and purse of biggies in bollywood. A veteran like Raj Kumar Santoshi is prepared to bet on Abhishek Bachchan after ‘Raavan’, only shows that Abhishek Bachchan’s acting in Mani Ratnam’s flick must have impressed Santoshi and that he was convinced of Abhishek’s pull power at the box office.

Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan had worked in film like ‘Sarkar Raj’ and ‘Bunty aur Bubbly’ (though Ash was there only for Kajrare number).

Ah, the curse of being cousins! Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, two of Bollywood's most coveted actors, can never star in a movie together, or at least be romantically involved on the big screen, for obvious reasons! But director Rohit Jugraj has now written a movie script custom made for the two stars called Cousins. How appropriate!

filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala who would also like to be the first in the film industry to get Kareena and Ranbir in the same movie.
So now the director is trying to find a way to get Kareena and Ranbir together on the silver screen. "We don't have to think of a romantic pair all the time. There are so many wonderful films where the lead pair is not romantically involved, like Kamal Haasan and Sridevi in Sadma and Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore in Amar Prem," he told The Times of India.
So who will manage to get the two cousins in the same movie first? Kareena has already told reporters that she would love to connect with her cuz on the big screen "he is so talented. I know we can work magic together. But he is my brother.."

'Vijay Dinanath Chauhan' once again... hrithik roshan as 'dinanath chauhan'

Karan Johar in his modern day remake of amitabh bachchan's 'Agneepath' has roped in Hrithik Roshan to play the role of 'vijay dinanath chauhan'.

Karan’s ‘Agneepath’ remake will be written and directed by debutant Karan Malhotra and Hrithik character will be

influenced by Al Pacino in ‘Scarface’ the inspiration behind ‘Agneepath’.

Hrithik’s international looks are said to be the reason of him being chosen for the role of an international

gangster. The modern day version is said to be chic and happening which will show Hrithik as an international

gangster unlike the original which showed Big B as a gang lord in India.

The modern day version is also minus Krishnan Iyer M. A., the magnificent character played by Mithun da in the

original.

Anyhow, Hrithik will experiment with the rasping dialogue-delivery that Big B attempted in the original 1990’s

gangster flick.

Katrina Kaif's Belly Dance in 'Tees maar khan' movie

Katrina Kaif, the firang babe of bollywood who plays the lead opposite Akshay Kumar in Farah Khan’s upcoming flick ‘Tees Maar Khan’ is all set to gyrate to a raunchy number-"Sheela Ki Jawani".

The number is rocking with sort of a fusion song where Madhuri Dixit meets Beyonce type. Though Katrina Kaif will don Indian dresses like nose ring, knotted cholis, kaajal, etc, but her sensuous style of belle dancing would be in true western style.

The number has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and music directors Vishal –Shekhar have used a live street folk band for the purpose. The song will introduce Katrina Kaif in the film as she plays an aspiring actress and appears for audition with this number.

Farah has promised Katrina Kaif to make the dance the biggest hit of the year and in the same spirit Katrina has also promised that if it really became so, she would share a certain percentage of her remuneration, whenever she would get stage shows due to that number.

Katrina Kaif will be wearing a short Ghaghara-choli or a short top showing off her navel line during the number, much in the Madhuri Dixit style.

The stunning beauty has already been working out to get that perfect figure to flaunt during the belle dance to enchant the viewers.

It may be recalled that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif make one of the hottest pair of bollywood. In fact, almost of all the movies that they have done together like—‘ Singh is Kinng’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Namaste London’ etc – have proved super hits at the box office.

sanjay dutt to play shivaji's role

Sanjay Dutt, the handsome hunk of bollywood who essayed the character of Munnabhai with élan and made it a household name, is all set to enact the part of great Maratha warrior Shivaji in Soham Shah’s upcoming flick ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’.

The film is being planned on a huge scale and Sanjay Dutt’s look will be on the lines of Russell Crowe as in ‘Gladiator’ or ‘Robin Hood’ with sword in hand and filling the whole screen with his presence. For the present, the film is being planned in Hindi, but the ways are being explored to make it in both the languages-- Marathi and Hindi.

Soham Shah has big plans for the project and intends to use special effects like it was in ‘Prince of Persia’.

neil n deepika in new movie lafange parinde first look

Yash raj films is all set for one of its most anticipated release of this year - “LAFANGEY PARINDEY”. The film stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone are in the lead roles.The film is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and Produced by Aditya Chopra.
THIS love story film is set against the backdrop of the gritty streets of Mumbai and is about bike gangs. It will be exciting to see both Neil and Deepika in an adventerous and wild role.

Both actors are said to challenging roles in the film, which is rather surprising since the director is a man of thought Sarkar and does not tolerate too much fluff.

Well the first look of 'Lafange Parindey' is already released. The poster introduces deepika as the ' blind' girl who is born to fly and Neil Nitin Mukesh as ' wild' who is born to fight.

The film is set to release on 20th August.
