Salman as a 'hostile' host- new approach to big boss 4..
Ending all speculations,on Tuesday night,it was announced that Salman is going to host the fourth season of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ on colors channel and not Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar or Big B..Its official.
Sallu also confirmed his participation in the show on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“Doing bigg bossssssssssssssssssssssss! boss,” Salman tweeted at being salman khan.
Big Boss, the Indian version of the popular British reality show “Big Brother” will probably start in the month of October. It would be at the same time when Kaun Banega Crorepati will start on Sony Entertainment.
Salman is being paid a whopping amount of Rs 3.5 crores to Rs 5 crores per episode, which is more than double of the remuneration paid to Amitabh Bachchan (Big B was paid Rs 1.75 crores per episode). He will now get approximately Rs 60 to 70 crore for Bigg Boss 4, despite the season featuring only 13 to 14 episodes.
Bigg Boss has witnessed different hosts in all its season starting with Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan. Now it is turn of Salman Khan to host the Big Boss- season 4.
Bigg Boss season 3 was a great success with superstar Amitabh Bachchan playing the host, and the channel believes that Salman too can bring great success to the show with his presence.
Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan TRP war becomes interesting as only these two actors were reasonably successful on television from the bollywood and now they are testing each other popularity through their respective programmes.
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan hosted ‘KBC’ (and also ‘Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain’) had failed to take off and was removed mid way. But Salman Khan’s ‘Dus Ka Dum’ was successful.If both the shows clash together, i.e. Kaun Banega Crorepati and Big Boss 4, it will definitely going to be a war of TRPs.
Bigg Boss now has a mix of people from different background and experience actor, bar dancer, reality tv star, actress and yesteryear actor.This season’s inmates include Davinder Singh, Tarannum, Dimpy Ganguly, Rajesh Khanna and Sara Khan.
Amitabh Bachchan was seen as a guide and friend to the inmates of the house.This time however,Salman is going to take the excitement even higher. He is going to be his spontaneous best, read, brutally honest and blunt with the inmates of the Bigg Boss house! Housemates, who used to eagerly await their face time with the host, will now pray to avoid their ‘face-off’ time with him.With Salman as the host,all is set to change - as the host becomes ‘HOSTyle’… sympathy turns into apathy,emotional support is replaced by reprimand or ridicule and the so called bridge between the inmates, no longer there. While Salman will be a friend for those who play it clean...he is going to be hostile to those who indulge in manipulations, back-biting and politics.
Salman Khan will come for two days to interact with the participants of the ‘Bigg Boss’ house and he promises that it would be all different than earlier interaction.
Amitabh’s manly voice would attract on Sony and Salman’s style on the other hand will get the audience hooked to the Television. The audience would be in a fix.
However,,anchoring television show is nothing new for ‘Sallu bhai’ as he had earlier hosted a game show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ for Sony TV.But, now with Salman finally stepping into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan, it will be interesting to see how he fits himself in his new avatar.
Last year, on Season 3 of Bigg Boss, 90 million viewers watched the show over a period of 3 months !!!
